About

Dr. Nancy Tarr Hart has a wide and varied history of personal and professional experience with a career that encompasses working 40+ years in the worlds of business, theatre, and education.  Also an intuitive and mystic, the understanding of her spiritual gifts fully ignited in 1995, and she recognized her deep connections with the Divine Feminine Wisdom/Sophia and stepped onto the life path that has opened her up to an awareness of her purpose through Spirit/Sophia’s plans for her.

In 1999 she was guided to Sophia to enroll in a part-time undergraduate program for adult learners at the Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) from which, in 2005, she earned a BA in the double majors of Philosophy and Religious Studies, summa cum laude.  She continued on her Spirit/Sophia-guided academic journey, and in 2013 was awarded a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in Lampeter, Wales.  Dr. Tarr Hart’s PhD and research interests lie in feminist theory, the Divine Feminine, and women’s and Marian studies.  Currently an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at NDMU where she primarily teaches applied ethics (medical, business, and environmental) and on subjects related to the Philosophy of Religion.

Dr. Tarr Hart is the author of the two-volume series, Beyond the Veil (Volume 1: Unmasking the Feminine; and, Volume 2: Unraveling the Mystery of Mary), and is one of the authors of Empowering YOU, Transforming Lives (compiled by Rebecca Hall Gruyter).   Also an ardent fiber artist who enjoys traveling and gardening, Dr. Tarr Hart shares her home with her cats, Kali and Bastet.
